about

Faris Hytiaa is a Sudanese-Canadian stand-up comedian based in Calgary. Born in Toronto to Sudanese parents and raised in Alberta, he's known for a relaxed delivery, a quick wit, and crowd work that goes places nobody planned for.

He filmed TELUS's first-ever comedy special, SEND HELP, in 2023, and was named a Just For Laughs Canadian New Face of Comedy. By his fourth year in comedy he had played every televised comedy festival in Canada.

His third album, homesick., was nominated for Comedy Album of the Year at the 2026 Juno Awards. Along the way he's shared stages with Hasan Minhaj, Russell Peters, Neal Brennan, Christina P, Dulcé Sloan, Kyle Kinane and Mo Amer.

He now hosts and writes The Tomorrow Show — Canada's only late-night talk show — taped in front of a live audience at Calgary's Laugh Shop.

Faris cares about making a difference and making people laugh. If you're interested in the same, his favourite charity is linked here:
